Dear VivaKids Friends & Family,
We are excited to announce some big news regarding one of our favorite people, Lori Barr! Lori has been an extremely dedicated employee of VivaKids that also had an incredibly giant heart for the children that we serve. Recently she learned that God was planning to use her in an exciting new way. She has always dreamt of working for the BGEA so this is very exciting for Lori, and we are so very happy for her!
Obviously, matching our collective joy that Lori has been blessed in such a huge way, is the sadness we will feel that she will no longer be with VivaKids. She is equally torn and wrote up a personal message for all of you:
“I wanted to say Thank you and good bye to all the wonderful sponsors and great friends that I have made over the years serving at VivaKids. I have been so blessed by all the loving hearts for the children and it has been my privilege to be part of the mission at VivaKids as we bring hope for a brighter future for the children!!
God has blessed me with the desire of my heart and has given me an opportunity to continue to serve Him in a new capacity. I am starting a new position at Blue Ridge Broadcasting, 1069thelight.org which is part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, located at The Cove in Asheville, NC. I am so grateful for the Lord to provide this position that combines my administrative and accounting skills with my love of contemporary Christian music and in-depth Bible programs. God is so good!!! I will be the Data and Mail Processing Coordinator where I will be overseeing the donations and pledges as well as preparing and analyzing data for management. I also believe that my employment at VivaKids also greatly assisted in preparing me for this next step on my Journey.
I will miss you all very much and pray for all of God’s blessings for each of you!!!”
And obviously we will miss her! VivaKids would not have made it this far if not for Lori’s tireless dedication to her job. We are blessed to have had her for as long as we have, and we know that 106.9 The Light FM is getting a real gem.
