VivaKids provides support to local organizations in the developing world that show the love of Jesus Christ to children and their communities. These organizations provide a safe place to meet the children’s spiritual, educational, medical and nutritional needs, which result in breaking the cycle of poverty that is prevalent in these communities. OUR MISSION IS TO RAISE AWARENESS THAT LEADS TO ACTION.
We seek to accomplish our mission through a child sponsorship program and through partnerships with businesses and organizations that share our desire to make the world a better place. We are an all-volunteer organization which keeps our expenses minimal. With the generosity of our partners, we are able to send 100% of all child sponsorship money directly to the centers that support them as well as supply funding for projects at the centers and in their communities. That is what makes us different.
VivaKids is very excited to have Dieffenbach’s Potato Chips, Inc. join us as a partner! They are donating 10% of all profits from the sale of their UGLIES® kettle chips to help fight hunger. Dieffenbach’s will also be working with retail partners by offering special programs that provide a per-bag contribution that will go directly to VivaKids and create awareness for our cause.
UGLIES helps reduce food waste by using potatoes that would otherwise be rejected for cosmetic reasons (size, shape, color) or sugar content. “In addition to reducing food waste, we have also enhanced the quality of the chip by using non-GMO cooking oil and gluten free seasonings to create a premium line of products,” said Dwight Zimmerman, VP of Sales and Marketing at Dieffenbach’s.
According to Nevin Dieffenbach, President and CEO of Dieffenbach’s, “Since my grandfather started the business more than 50 years ago, we have been committed to helping children and giving back to the community. We plan on continuing that tradition. Our partnership with VivaKids, goes beyond the monetary support. We will be sending Dieffenbach team members to participate at VivaKids supported centers, making this a very personal experience for everyone.”
